Role

Lori supports the Research, Evaluation and Innovation Team in fulfilling the Centre’s mandate as it relates to the practice and scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). She engages in designing, developing and implementing projects related to SoTL, and she is also involved in designing and delivering workshops and resources on various topics for faculty and instructors. 


Biography

Lori obtained her Ph.D. in Brain and Cognitive Sciences in the Department of Psychology at the University of Manitoba.

She developed a passion for teaching as a graduate student, and has worked as a sessional instructor for the Department of Psychology and the International College of Manitoba (ICM) for over ten years. Her early research concentrated on memory and attention, but her curiosity about the human mind led her to develop a strong interest in positive psychology.

Currently, her research interests lie in the impact of student and instructor well-being on teaching and learning.
