Role

Jennifer provides pedagogical support in areas such as teaching consultations, classroom observations, curriculum development and delivery. She facilitates the Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) and professional development workshops on a variety of teaching topics, both at The Centre and through customized in-your-house sessions for faculties. Jennifer is responsible for projects related to faculty and graduate student teaching development, including the Teaching and Learning Certificate (TLC) program and Graduate Teaching Program (GTP). She also develops resources and handbooks for faculty and graduate students, including contributing to the Course Development Guide and Teaching Assistant Handbook.


Biography

Jennifer taught K-12 and English as a Second Language to adult newcomers before coming to the U of M. She has been with The Centre since 2014. Her education includes a Masters in Education in the area of instructional design and online learning. She is a member of the Society for Higher Education Teaching and Learning (STLHE), Educational Developers Caucus (EDC), and the Canadian Association for Instructional Designers (CAID).
